Zac is 28 years old, and is a husband and father. He works as a firefighter and is a CrossFit coach at CrossFit Obey. He shares his fitness journey that began with a firefighting call. On this particular call he lost his breath within a couple minutes. He knew that one of the main leading causes of death for firefighters was cardiac arrest; he knew that changes needed to happen. Over the past few years he has lost 90lbs and competed in last years BCS Classic competition. He maintains consistency with his wife in working out. Hannah Cook is 22yrs old, she is graduating from Texas A&M this December. Hannah in this podcast shares her story starting in High School during Senior year. Her mom inspired her and helped her develop healthy workout habits. Just in her senior year Hannah lost 35lbs. As she got into college she understandably found it hard to maintain those habits. After finding BoomFit and deciding to make a change again, she has accomplished great feats and enjoys feeling healthy along with gaining an enthusiastic approach to fitness. Josh Vicari is 29yrs old. He currently is the manager of Chicken Express in Bryan and was a part of the Corps of Cadets while attending Texas A&M University. Starting in high school, his father began taking him to the gym at 5am before school and taught him the importance of working out and eating healthy. Josh shares his ups and downs in weight and how he kept being drawn back to fitness. He joined BoomFit in February and shares how he has lost 27lbs in less than five months. Cliff Latham is 52 years old, a father, husband, business owner and has completed multiple Iron Man Triathlons. He provided Charlie an opportunity into the fitness field and has served him as a great mentor for nearly 20 years. Cliff shares his accomplishments in track (clocking a mile at four minutes and three seconds!) and in personal training on the podcast today. Cliff is one of the most seasoned and experienced personal trainers in the Brazos Valley. However despite these great successes he still overcomes and faces what everyone in their fitness journey faces. Everyone feels pain and can continually improve if they work for it. He is a great example of never quitting and continuous pursuit of excellence. His passion is helping people. Cliff opens up big time and shares his heart in this interview.

Janel Cruz is 46 years old, she is a new BoomFit member of four months. One distinct attribute of Janel is her grit. At the beginning of the quarantine workouts she really struggled with one particular workout a hero workout named after “Zachary Tellier”. She continued to work on it and managed to shave seventeen minutes off of her original time. Janel shares that pushing herself and enjoying the benefits of health is what she aims for. She also explains that she isn’t perfect, but is proud of progress she makes. Listen and be inspired by a story of consistent hard work, goal setting, and victory.

Kyla and Robby started the 6 Week Challenge almost two months ago. They didn’t allow the obstacles and changes that have happened recently to deter them. During the 6 Week Challenge they worked together as a couple and encouraged one another. They have successfully completed the 6 Week Challenge and reached their goals. Kyla lost 11.2lbs and 3.7%; while Robby cut 17lbs and 6.1% body fat. Both are great examples of sticking to a plan during school, work, and obstacles in daily life during the pandemic. They have felt more confidence and much better mentally through improving their physical fitness.

Danielle Johnson, 42 years old is a mother of four. During this interview Danielle shares about how much her life has been greatly impacted by health and fitness. It has helped her take care of her God-given body and enabled her to exercise more discipline in other faucets of her life. Danielle has done an amazing job prioritizing fitness during this time of social distancing and working out at home. She is achieving a great feat, she is doing 100 burpees a day in addition to her regular workout. She has chosen her least favorite exercise and is slowly perfecting it. She is an inspiration to many and showing that even the most difficult things for us personally can become our strengths. |
